Ghana’s capital, Accra will host the first Ghana DJ Expo in 2017.
According to Merqury Republic, the organisers, this move will ensure that Ghana is an “enviable destination for art, entertainment, DJ culture and music.”
The Ghana DJ Expo will give DJ’s a platform to get exposed to new trends and get informed about the music business.
“It is our ambition to grow this event into a world recognised annual exposition for the professionals and trade visitors within the international music scene,” says Cynthia Ewli, the event coordinator.
The expo is scheduled to happen annually before the Ghana DJ Awards starting from 2017.
This expo will combine a trade fair, musical showcases, conferences, exhibitions and networking sessions which will promote the DJ culture and Ghanaian music.
